For over 40 years Truji developed a Substantiable Coffee Farm model. His wife Angela is a former school teacher and is responsible for traceability systems, bookkeeping, and data recording about every batch and crop. Daughters Paola and Patricia are young, up-and-coming producers with their parents. The Trujillo team is passionate in their search for quality and in their attention to detail in every aspect of the farm and all operations at Patio Bonito are based on 4 fundamental pillars: Food Safety, Agroforestry, Sustainability and Quality. The mission of the farm is "to provide alternatives and training for farmers and students in the management, conservation and exploration of natural resources and the environment."  The family philosophy is "The best legacy we can leave our children is: love, knowledge and a planet to live on" The farm has a total of 11 hectares, with 9 hectares planted with 45,000 coffee trees of different varieties, namely Castillo, Colombia, Pink Bourbon, Gesha, Aji Bourbon, Sidra Bourbon, SL28, Wush Wush, Typica (Lychee) & Laurina.
