Origin: Panama - Boquete  Farm: Cañas Verdes Altitude: 1700 m Variety: Gesha  Process: Washed We carefully selected these two beautiful lots (Trapiche 2AFB and Lino 4FB) at the farm during our trip to Panama. Both lots beautifully express the unique character of Esmeralda’s profiles, intensely floral, remarkably elegant, and refined.   The Farm Hacienda La Esmeralda. Without them, the remarkable Gesha variety might not be what it is today. In 2004, the Peterson family won the Best of Panama competition with their exceptional Gesha coffee, a variety that was previously unknown in the region. This iconic farm has been instrumental in shaping the global reputation of Panama’s Gesha coffee and remains one of the most renowned farms in the world.  Process This lot was harvested on January 14th, 2026 from the Lino lot in Hacienda La Esmeralda’s Cañas Verdes farm. After harvest, the coffee cherries were depulped, and subsequently fermented in a low temperature room for 96 hours. This microlot was slowly dried on raised beds for 9 days.
