Description
Cup profile: cherry, blood orange, strawberry, candy Key Facts: Member Farms of Gold Mountain Coffee Growers Variety: Maragogype carbonic maceration natural, 1200–1475 m About the coffee: Maragogype beans are an absolute rarity - when you hold them in your hands, you'll know why. We have rarely had beans of this screen size in our roastery, which is of course something very special for us. Not nerdy at all. But well. That's us. The complex aromas of this rare variety and a candy-like sweetness set the tone in the cup. The clear elegance and medium body make this coffee a special experience. A rare opportunity not to be missed! About the variety: Maragogype is a natural mutation, created around 1870 in the Maragogipe region of Brazil. The aforementioned size of the beans is its most distinctive characteristic and has earned it the nickname "elephant bean". However, the yield is low, which is why other large beans are often sold under its name - which, in our opinion, makes this lot even more special.
