Description

About This Single Origin  Indonesia Frinsa Edun | West Java Anaerobic Natural (Single Origin Filter) ROAST:  Filter Roast PROCESS: Washed REGION: West Java ELEVATION: 1300 - 1700m VARIETAL: Mixed (Mostly Sigarautang) CUP: Nashi Pear, Herbal, Sugarcane Wildan Mustofa and his wife, Atieq Mustikaningtyas, began their first coffee project in 2010 in the Sindangkerta, Weninggalih area—an endeavour that would later grow into Java Frinsa Estate. From the beginning, their commitment to quality set them apart: while many Indonesian producers (even in specialty) favoured wet-hulled processing, Frinsa focused on fully washed coffees to pursue greater clarity and refinement. The name “Frinsa” is formed from the first letters of their children—Fikri, Rifda, Nadia, and Salsa—and their logo features four coffee cherries and coffee leaves, a tribute to the family at the heart of the estate. Process (Sarapan): freshly received cherries are washed and floaters removed, then pulped and fermented for 12–14 hours with no additives. The coffee is then dried as parchment on a patio in the drying yard. Sarapan means “breakfast” in Bahasa, and it’s also used to describe something delicate yet beautiful—a fitting name for a coffee built on gentle structure, clean sweetness, and elegant detail.
