As a child, Marlon, worked alongside his father as a day laborer. They dedicated themselves to making coffee nurseries and planting farms. In 2012, Marlon began working with Job Neel Cáceres in El Cielito, where he served as farm manager and gained all his experience with coffee. While working with Job Neel, he also produced vegetables, and from those profits, he was able to save enough money to purchase his own plot of land. In 2020, he planted his land with coffee, and a couple of years later he began producing specialty coffee. Today, he is happy working on his own farm and hopes to continue producing high-quality coffee for many years to come. After picking, the cherries are put into fermentation for 24 hours. Then, the cherries are de-pulped and the parchment is put into fermentation tanks where it is dry fermented for 24 hours. Next, the parchment is rinsed in the tank with a lot of water 3 times. Last, it is put inside the parabolic solar dryer for around 20 days, during this time, the parchment is sorted by hand to remove defective beans. This coffee is super clean and comforting with notes of orange and black tea.
