A lively SL28 that’s both smooth and bright. Juicy notes of cherry and blackcurrant shine up front, balanced by the indulgent richness of caramel, bringing depth and balance to the cup. Syrupy, vibrant, and beautifully structured, it delivers clarity and sweetness in every sip. This single-variety SL28 comes from the iconic Finca Lérida in Panama, a producer we’ve partnered with directly since 2020. Though widely recognised for its celebrated Geisha lots, the farm’s distinctive high-elevation microclimate also supports an SL28 with striking aromatic clarity — a variety traditionally associated with Kenya. We roast this coffee lightly to preserve its brightness and emphasise its fruit-driven structure. As an espresso, the cup presents with definition and lift, showcasing its character with precision. It also integrates smoothly into milk, maintaining its sweetness and clean fruit tone. Finca Lérida is located in Boquete and anyone who has the opportunity to visit this farm will feel the magic of this place in the middle of the Panamanian rainforest. It is a farm run by women and their attention to detail is visible everywhere. Maria Amoruso grew up in Boquete as the eldest of five siblings and, even as a little girl, planted coffee plants with her grandfather and helped him process them. She always dreamed of having her own farm and when Finca Lerida came up for sale in 2009, she reawakened this special place with one of the best locations for growing coffee and quickly gained attention across the world for producing high quality coffees.
