Description
This is our most recent coffee from LaReb and THE most intoxicating sugar bomb of the year. It draws you in like the lushest summer fruit juice with the perfect hint of high-quality sugar cane rum. It’s the kind of coffee that gets you overcaffeinated on accident – it’s so moreish that you may not be able to stop drinking it! Comrades in the fight against global capitalism tend to find each other, and we were lucky enough to meet Herbert and Matcha from La Real Expedition Botanical through our good friend Alex at Scenery*. What was supposed to be a quick meet-n-greet with the folks from LaReb turned into a three-hour conversation about making things right in the world. They wholeheartedly share our values of farmer empowerment, decolonising the coffee supply chain, egalitarian workplaces, and of course, delicious coffee! To process this lot, cherry was in-husk rested for 12 hours with a further 60 hours of resting in a closed container, then greenhouse dried for 20 days. *Probably our favourite roastery in London, staffed with really lovely people. Check them out. Elevation: 1650 Metres Above Sea Level Varietal: Gesha Cup Score: 90 Price paid per kg: £32 Process: Anoxic natural (gorgeous lot photos by Herbert of LaReb)
