Description
A rich, and delicious decaf with tasting notes of caramel, toasted nuts and cocoa. Feeling Wired Enough? Our do-it-all decaf will keep those nerves from jangling. It’ll satisfy all your coffee desires without the effects of caffeine. It’s incredibly smooth, chocolatey and nutty. We roast it to be suitable for espresso as well as drip. It’s sweet black and buttery with milk. Our decaf comes from Colombia and is processed by the Canadian company, Swiss Water Process, based in Delta and Burnaby, BC. The Swiss Water Process method of decaffeination uses only water, time and controlled temperatures to remove caffeine, with no further chemicals required. Wired Enough has become a staple for our head roaster after midday hits! Roast Level Medium Tasting Notes Caramel, Toasted Nuts, Rich and Sweet Origin Colombia Variety Regional Field Blend (Excelso) Process Natural Producer Deyvid Leandro & the Barbosa family Brew Method Filter: 16:1 water-to-coffee ratio (e.g., 20g coffee to 320ml water), medium-coarse grind Espresso: 2.5:1 yield-to-dose ratio (e.g., 18g coffee to 45ml espresso), fine grind, 30-second shot Recommended Resting To get the best out of our coffees we recommend resting them. We have found for espresso the optimal age is 10 - 21 days after the roast date and for filter brew methods we find our coffees start tasting best after 3-4 weeks after the roast!
