Guided by Don Clodoveo Zamora and his wife Doña Jeannette, Kathia’s parents, Kathia began managing the family business in 2000. As founding members of the IWCA (International Women Coffee Alliance)-Costa Rica Chapter, Kathia has served on the Board of Directors and continues to participate in the chapters’ ongoing initiatives. In 2015, Cloza Estate was awarded the certification: Women Care Certified. This certification represents a great achievement for a family who is committed to supporting the empowerment of women in the coffee industry and continues to be a role model for women in coffee.  Today, under Kathia’s management, the farm is focused on improving quality, applying sustainable farming practices, lowering their carbon footprint, protecting the environment and providing fair wages for their workers. Quality and traceability are very important to this family, as they work hard to keep their coffee Thriving for future generations." Cloza Farms is very much a family business. We recently offered a Natural Process, "Don Clodoveo" which Kathia named after her father whom she credits with much of her coffee inspiration. This special lot is named "The Kiddos" after Kathia's Children who had the idea of producing a peaberry. This is the first Costa Rican peaberry and the first honey-process peaberry we have encountered and we are proud to be able to share it with you!
