Origin: Panama Region: Boquete, Chiriquí Farm: HLE - Cañas Verdes Owner: The Petersons Plot: Lino Altitude: 1700+ masl Variety: Geisha Lot: Lino 4ANB Crop: Picked in Jan.2026 / Arrived in May 2026 Process: Anaerobic natural About farm: Cañas Verdes ranks among the most iconic farms of Hacienda La Esmeralda, sitting on the slopes of Volcán Barú. The property has belonged to the Peterson family since 1967; originally used for livestock farming, it was later converted to specialty coffee cultivation. After Geisha shot to global fame in 2004, the estate kept expanding its planting area. Benefiting from high-elevation volcanic soil and distinctive microclimate, coffees from Cañas Verdes have earned numerous international awards and become a benchmark for Panama specialty coffee. Processing Method: Fully ripe coffee cherries undergo 120 hours of fermentation under strictly anaerobic conditions, then are slowly air-dried on elevated African beds over 39 days.
