Description
Origin: Peru Region: Inkawasi, Cusco Farm: Tin Tin Inchispata Producer: Modesto Rupaylla Altitude: 2280 masl Lot: #2 Variety: Geisha Crop: Picked in Sep.-Oct. 2025 / Arrived in Feb. 2026 Process: Washed About farm: Hidden deep within the highlands of Inkawasi in the Cusco region of Peru, Tin Tin Inchispata Farm lies at the foot of the majestic Apu Chuntawillca mountain, overlooking the vast Andean landscape. Sitting at 2,280 meters above sea level, the farm benefits from a rare high-altitude environment where cool temperatures slow cherry maturation and contribute to exceptional cup clarity and complexity. Owned and cultivated by Modesto Rupaylla, the farm is rooted in a landscape defined by volcanic soils rich in natural minerals and organic matter. Native forest trees grow throughout the property, creating natural shade for the coffee trees while fallen leaves and branches enrich the soil and maintain ecological balance. The farm is also home to diverse birdlife, reflecting the healthy biodiversity of this remote Andean ecosystem. The harvest season typically begins in September and continues through the following months as cherries ripen slowly in the cool mountain climate. Only carefully selected ripe cherries are picked and processed using the washed method, preserving the purity and elegance of the Geisha variety. This high-altitude Geisha expresses the unique terroir of Inkawasi with remarkable delicacy. In the cup, it reveals yellow florals, bright lime acidity, and juicy apricot sweetness, finishing with the refined elegance of floral fruit tea.
