Camelias is a small coffee farm affiliated with La Bolsa, where the Vides Ovalle family has developed their family business with a passion for coffee and love for the local community since 1958. Dr. Jorge Vides Molina was the doctor who dreamed of becoming a coffee farmer and in 1958 he planted the first coffee trees at La Bolsa. Today, the dream is carried on by Jorge’s daughter and grandson who together manage La Bolsa and several other coffee farms in Huehuetenango. Camelias is one of six coffee farms affiliated with La Bolsa. The Vides Ovalle family’s main driving force is their community involvement and desire to give back to the local area.
