Tasting notes: Juicy and intense. Taste of cherries and chocolate.  Planadas is a high-quality coffee cultivated by a farm group consisting of many small and skilled coffee producers. Located at nearly 2,000 meters above sea level, Tolima is a renowned coffee region in central Colombia. The volcanic soil and annual rainfall of over 1,700 millimeters make the conditions for coffee cultivation very good. ASOPEP stands for The Association of Organic Producers of Planadas, and is a grouping of small-scale coffee farmers from Planadas, located in the Tolima region. ASOPEP is known for its sustainable production and for how they take responsibility for preserving the natural resources in the surrounding areas around the farms. There are around 170 local farmers affiliated with the organization, where each farm has its own wet mill. Planadas is certified organic.
